Important Note:

The large pink mass at the bottom is the solidified lava. When the bottle is cold, the wax settles and can look like a large irregular lump rather than the flowing “lava”. 

It specifically says that after storage or shipping, the wax can require several heating/cooling cycles to settle and flow normally. It says a new bottle can take 1–3 hours to warm up, and it may form strange stalagmite-like shapes before normal lava flow begins. But do not shake it. Never run it for more than 6 hours at a time.
